Trillian is a godsend for the multiple character player. Trillian allows you to be logged under MULTIPLE messenger programs, and multiple screen names within the same messenger. Covers AIM, Yahoo, MSN, IRC & ICQ.

DeadAIM
DeadAIM is a AIM cloner, giving you the ability to have multiple AIM sessions open, without having to merga all your contacts together like Trillain. NOTE: This IS PAYWARE, but it's a pretty damned cheap one at $5.
